Den 4's Terrific Year as WEBELOS - So Far
By Andy, Benjamin, Jim, Nicholas, and Nicky
February 23, 2006

Our Den's patrol emblem is the Flaming Arrow. During this year, we've done some pretty cool things. We all went camping in October, and made our own lunches to cook over the campfire. We also did the Cubmobile as a group, and some of us went to Boo Camp.

In November, we worked on our Citizen badge. We learned about government, and met an Illinois Congressman named Bob Churchill. He talked to us about how the government works, and the steps that a bill needs to go through to become a law. We also made lunches for the homeless, to support a local PADS shelter.

In January, we earned our Showman badges, and learned about puppets, music and the opera. We attended a play at the Warren Township library.

We enjoyed what we did as a group, but we each have our own favorite things. Ben's favorite thing was the Cubmobile race. Nicky liked when we made our puppets for the Showman badge. Nicholas' favorite was making the Pinewood Derby car. Jimmy and Andy both enjoyed the Den campout, the rocket launch, and when we played "Scene It".

We're looking forward to our next campout, and working on our Engineer badges. Keep watching the Den 4 website for more information about our terrific year!
